Liefs means “Love” in Dutch, which is at the heart of all we do.

Our Conscious Café is located in the heart of Tulum.

Look for two green-white VW Vans, Classic Combi’s + lush terrace on the main road to the beach,

across the avenue from Red Cross & the municipal police.

Founded by married couple Thomas & Fem from Amsterdam. They launched Liefs in 2019 at pop-ups during Tulum’s festival season with the vision of a kinder world, one meal at a time…

Planting seeds to grow Liefs
**The concept of Liefs' Conscious Comfort Cuisine started from our vegan VW vans: beloved buses given a second life, and a local farm supplying food.**
During the 2020 pandemic that shut down Liefs and the world, six weeks after we finally first opened, we’ve together brought a barren farm to life by making vegetable beds, planting trees, sprouts and harvesting our home-grown produce. With the help and knowledge of native Mayan team-members with whom we live together at the farm, we have been developing the land to supply the food we serve at Liefs.
**Zero Waste:** as all of our packaging and production is 100% recycled and/or composted, we are developing a truly self-sustainable food-cycle that the world needs now more than ever.

INCREDIBLE food, epic atmosphere — this place is one of my all time favorite Tulum restaurants. You can tell the owners love what they’re offering and you can taste it — if you’re vegan or even just like healthy delicious food, definitely go here. It’s amazing, friendly, yummy, and well priced, especially considering the location and beautiful aesthetic.

I might turn vegan now!

I could be a vegan if the food was always this good! We had the “pulled pork” burger and the mushroom sandwich, both were delicious. I am amazed that the pulled pork actually had the shredded texture of actual pulled pork. The flavors were excellent. We also had a fresh pineapple juice with mezcal. We will be back!

It was my first time visiting Tulum, and after searching Vegan places to eat, this was the one I HAD to stop at. The atmosphere was welcoming m and the staff was so kind. The food was some of the best healthy and vegan food I have EVER had, so I went a second time:) i got to meet the owner this time, who was so friendly and accommodating. 💕💜🙏🏼🌱🌞 this is a MUST for all interested in health, wellness and conscious living.

A lovely spot to sit and have a healthy tasty breakfast or there signature Espuma iced coffee!!! Friendly staff and excellent service. We come back here every year and highly recommended to stop here on your way to the beach.
